Unfortunately the in client restore does not work where you have to replace the machine. In my case the laptop hard drive failed and so I had to reinstall the OS. Ideally you should just be able to install the Mozy client and hit restore, but you can't. I tried. I contacted support. It is a crazy situation.

That's good news that you will be offering DVD restores in Europe - but it is of little help today.

Can you offer me an automated way to download my backup?

Can I avoid having to re-upload my data again?

We will soon be offering DVD restores to customers in Europe. Still, your restore should not be taking as long as you said. We process thousands of restores at a time and should be able to help you get your data faster than that.
